ERASMUS +: New Horizons in Cooperation between Ukraine and France

General Information

Within the framework of ERASMUS + projects KNUTE is implementing 8 progrmmes together with European universities this year. One of the most effective projects is ERASMUS + International Credit Mobility 2016-1-FR01-KA1077-023610 with the Université Grenoble Alpes. KNUTE has been cooperating with this University since 2013.

The most significant point of cooperation between these two educational institutions is the double degree programme “Bachelor in Economics and Management”, based on distance learning in both French and English languages.

Université Grenoble Alpes (UGA) offers a wide range of programmes at the undergraduate, masters and doctoral levels, open to all students regardless of nationality.

A comprehensive, global university, the UGA enrolls about 45,000 students each year in its high-quality academic programmes, and maintains 80 research centers in all disciplines, employs 3 thousand lecturers and research professors and 2,5 thousand administrative and technical staff. KNUTE mostly cooperates with its Faculties of Economics and Law.

The University is proud of its image not only in France but in Europe as well. The UGA’s traditions – of innovation, of diversity, of excellence – are embodied in UGA’s expertise in education, creating a welcoming environment for international students, faculty, and staff and fostering the necessary skills in those who wish to broaden their horizons with an international experience. For that reason our delegation headed by A.Mazaraki, the rector of KNUTE, and consisting of V.Sai, the vice-rector, T.Dupliak, head of the European Education Center and O.Holovachova, coordinator of English Language Master’s Programmes, visited our partner university.

The partners have met to discuss the first results of 3-year cooperation. During the meeting with Lise Dumasy, the President of UGA, Jérôme Gensel, the Vice-Chair of Territorial and International Relations, and other UGA representatives, the problems with implementation of the Bachelor’s programme and ways of solving them were discussed. Curricula of both universities were compared.

Heads of both universities have talked about and agreed on the principles and directions of Master’s double degree programmes implementation. The possibility of PhD students training was also discussed. In October 2017 two lecturers from Grenoble are expected to come to KNUTE, and two KNUTE professors in International Economics have been invited to give lectures in English in UGA.

During the trip KNUTE representatives met with the students who are currently studying at UGA and discussed further changes and improvements in double degree programme.
