KNUTE Students Among the Winners of the 16th International Istanbul Gastronomy Festival
General Information
On the 22-25 of February 2018, the 16th International Istanbul Gastronomy Festival, organized by TASFED Cooks and Chefs Federation of Turkey, took place. The students from KNUTE (O.Hrytsenko, O.Sokur, V.Soviak (Major: Restaurant Technologies), and A.Chala (Faculty of International Trade and Law)) took part in it.
More than 2000 contestants from 30 countries came to participate in this grand event. More than 5000 guests from all over the world attended it. The participants competed in 20 different individual and team contests. More than 80 professional judges from different countries were assessing contestants.
The KNUTE team won five silver and two bronze medals, which is a great result!
The nomination “Best Culinary University 2018” drew a lot of attention. More than 40 teams from different universities were competing for the title. Our KNUTE team (O.Hrytsenko, O.Sokur, V.Soviak) took the honorary second place and were awarded silver medals, which proves that KNUTE trains future experts well and meets international standards.
