X Consumer Festival: Summary
General Information
The summing up of the X Consumers Festival "Time to Act!" was held. The fact that this is the tenth anniversary of the Consumer Festival shows the interest to the issue of consumer protection and is an important step towards ensuring high standards of living and the formation of a conscious society.
In general, within the framework of the festival there were held:
- 4 round-table discussions;
- 10 master classes and workshops (7 - in KNUTE, 3 - in schools);
- 5 demonstration lectures;
- International student scientific and practical conference on Current problems of entrepreneurship, trade and marketing;
- Flashmob "No to Shadow Trade " within the framework of the social campaign "I Buy Real Brand Goods! Don’t Buy Counterfeit Products!";
- Quest "Consumer, Be Careful! Seller, Be Legally Aware!";
- Consumer Contest "Become a KNUTE Student for a Day!".
During the festival the first ever Financial Service Advisory Center was introduced, and the Museum of counterfeit products was opened.
University lecturers, post-graduate students and students of all faculties took part in preparing and holding events.
The first Hospitality Day was held within the framework of the festival and the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine legal project "I Have the Rights". It attracted more than 400 pupils and students of secondary schools and vocational education and training institutions. Guests attended lectures, took part in practical and laboratory classes, master classes and trainings.
We hope that our efforts will draw the public attention to the consumer problems once again, help improve the situation on the consumer market, increase the standards of living and promote further European integration of Ukraine.
