Students Vision of Mobility: KNUTE Students at the European Youth Forum in Switzerland

General Information

Students of KNUTE returned from their trip to Switzerland, organized in cooperation with the Department of Foreign Philology and Translation. It was the second participation of our students at the European Youth Forum, where 144 students from 9 countries discussed the future of Europe.

They had the opportunity to choose the most relevant economic and social issues for their countries and work out a development strategy, participate in workshops on personal development, chat with foreign peers and get acquainted with the beauty of Switzerland.

Students shared their impressions.

Marharyta: "It was just an incredible trip to Switzerland. We attended the "European Youth Forum Trogen", aimed at solving global problems. Students had the opportunity to choose one issue that was the most interesting to them. The discussions were held in English so I improved my English level, changed my priorities in life, I saw a system of teaching in Switzerland (the things, ordinary for them, are innovative in the teaching system of Ukraine), moreover I found friends from different countries. Personally, I became more confident, because I realized that everyone shouldn’t be afraid to speak his mind! Thank you for this incredible opportunity, thank you for giving the opportunity to develop!"

Vladyslav: "When I got information about the trip to Switzerland, I immediately realized that I should go, because it was a great opportunity not only to get new experience and knowledge, but also to see the country of my dreams – Switzerland. In fact, that was the best trip in my life; I found new friends among representatives from the other 9 countries that were members of the forum as well as friends from our university. Each forum participant had the opportunity to choose the topic which he would like to work with during the week. I chose the topic of migration, so I learned lots of new information; it was especially interesting to hear the opinion of the European Union on refugees".

We thank the Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics and the Department of Foreign Philology and Translation for organizing such a useful and interesting trip!
