The Forum was held on June 7, 2018, with the support of the Independent Association of the Banks of Ukraine (IABU). 92 participants took part in it, including representatives from 14 banks, 11 non-bank financial institutions, state institutions, regulators and associations, 8 institutions of higher education and scientific institutions, and students. Particularly, it is pleased that among the participants of the forum were five graduates of the Finance and Banking Faculty of KNUTE, who are working in the financial and banking sphere - Lysenko V. (IABU), Korolev V. (JSC "Oschadbank"), Bilous P. (PJSC "Piraeus Bank ICB"), Hluboky V. (LLC "Consulting group" Feodal "), Artemenko A. (NBU).

The first pro-rector of KNUTE Natalya Pritulskaya and Executive Director of IABU Elena Korobkova welcomed the participants and opened the forum.

The program of forum covered four discussion panels that highlighted the future of real estate and mortgage markets, institutional participants of real estate and mortgage markets, mortgage and real estate risks, and the protection of creditors and consumers.

The moderators of the International Forum were: Gennadiy Bortnikov, Risk Manager of the Office for Administration of International Financial Collaboration Projects of the German-Ukrainian Fund; and Oleksiy Kutsenko, expert on financial and banking issues, co-author of the Government's Strategy for Reforming the Consumer Rights Protection System in the Financial Services Markets, Member of the Independent Bank Association Ukraine, a member of the expert council of the Fund for the Guaranteeing of Individual Deposits.

The questions aroused lively discussion among the participants of the forum, as are extremely important in the financial and credit institutions. According to the results of the forum, recommendations of the Committee on Financial Policy and Banking of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine will be prepared.
