Meeting with the heads of foreign diplomatic missions with the participation of representatives of Ukrainian ministries and departments on the study of foreign students in Ukraine

July 19, 2018 in the Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics took place the meeting with the heads of foreign diplomatic missions with the participation of representatives of Ukrainian ministries and departments on the study of foreign students in Ukraine, that brought together the representatives from 24 countries (Algeria, Afghanistan, China, Egypt, India, Iraq, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, China, Korea, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Nigeria, Palestine, Pakistan, South Africa, Sudan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine).
Anatolii Mazaraki, the Rector of KNUTE, gave an opening speech for the audience. Also speeches were made by representatives of Ukrainian ministries:
- Roman Greba, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine;
- Myroslava Shcherbatyuk, Director of the Department of the Middle East and Africa of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
O. Shapovalova, Director of the Ukrainian State Center for International Education, presented the actual questions on the admission and training of foreign citizens in Ukraine in her report. Information was also provided by S. Shitikova, Director of the National Erasmus+ Office in Ukraine.
The communication within the framework of the event was fruitful and useful for all participants, as there was discussed important aspects and problems of applying documents, admission to higher education institutions of Ukraine for foreign students, recognition of graduation diplomas, etc.
Ukrainian officials provided answers to numerous questions from executives and representatives of diplomatic missions in Ukraine.
