The forum started with the opening speech of Anatoliy A. Mazaraki, KNUTE rector, who in his speech emphasized the advantages for KNUTE teachers and students from a fruitful cooperation between the University and Pearson Learning Company and wished inspiration to the Forum participants.

This year famous international scholars, researchers, experts and course books authors have been invited to take part in the Forum:

·         Make Mayor (Great Britain), Global Scale of English Department Director, outlined the competencies, which will be in great demand in the labour market in the next decade;

·         Evan Frendo (Germany), a well known expert in teaching English for Specific Purposes, an author of numerous course books, Chief Examiner for London Chamber of Commerce, pointed at rapid changes in our society, which inevitably influence conventional learning and teaching models;

·         Erzhebet Csibi (Hungary), an experienced trainer, who presented innovative courses and programmes for various disciplines, which are modern combined resources that ensure effective students’ individual work within English language programmes;

·         Michael Hudson (Great Britain), an experienced teacher trainer and academic consultant, conducted a very interesting interactive session. He is always ready to share his know-hows and teaching methods of working with students who have high levels of English.

Y.V. Drozdova, Foreign Philology and Translation Department Associate Professor, shared her experience in using My English Lab resource in her teaching.

Second year students majoring in Philology, K.Havrylko, P.Skrynnikova and Y.Koliandra, prepared a presentation and shared with the audience their impressions from using My English Lab .
