Development of the National Quality System in Tourism General information
General Information
On January 1, 2019, Technical Committee for Standardization TC 118 "Trade, Rstaurant, Turism and Ehibition Srvices" with its secretariat Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics, the Department of Tourism and Resorts of the Ministry of Economic Development and the Ukrainian Agency for Standardization (State Enterprise "UkrNDNTS") passed 4 more national standards of Ukraine in the field of tourism, harmonized with international and European legal acts (State Enterprise "UkrNDNC" orders № 513 and №517 dated 19.12. 2018):
- State Standards of Ukraine 13809:2003: 2018 Tourism services. Travel Agencies and Tour Operators. Terms and definitions (EN 13809:2003, IDT)
- State Standards of Ukraine ISO 13687-1:2018 Tourism and travel-related services. Yacht harbours. Part 1: Minimum requirements for harbours with a basic service level (ISO 13687-1:2017, IDT)
- State Standards of Ukraine ISO 13687-2:2018 Tourism and travel-related. Yacht harbours. Part 2: Minimum requirements for harbours with a medium service level (ISO 13687-2:2017, IDT)
- State Standards of Ukraine ISO 13687-3:2018 Tourism and travel-related. Yacht harbours. Part 3: Minimum requirements for harbours with a high service level (ISO 13687-3:2017, IDT).
The introduction of these legal acts is a priority direction of developing the national quality system in the field of tourism. It will increase the competitiveness of the national tourism product.
