Blood Donor Days in KNUTE – Good Tradition that Saves Lives
General Information
Multiple studies conducted by scientists from all over the world aimed at creating blood substitute did not bring any results. Human blood cannot be substituted by anything else. That’s why donors remain the only alternative for saving lives. Nowadays one can hardly count people whose lives were saved because of donor blood.
On March 26-29, 2019, Blood Donor Days charity event was arranged in KNUTE again. This event teaches young people to be responsible and understand the value of human life.
All the necessary conditions for blood sampling were provided so anyone who wanted to share blood and save somebody’s life could do so.
After donating blood all donors received tea, had a rest and could find out their blood group.
Thanks to deep concern of KNUTE students and employees, the University has always been the leader in blood donor movement in Kyiv and this year we did a good job as well with the total donors’ number of 381.
