Are you interested in international law and do you want to influence the changes in this world in the future? Then the scientific club of the Department of International, Civil and Commercial Law of STEU "International Law in Action" is waiting for you! This is an association of creative and goal-oriented students who want to expand their knowledge, develop skills in scientific and research work, as well as propose changes in the cooperation of the world community, which are able to respond to the modern challenges faced by the world. 

What do we do? 

• discuss and debates on the issues of international law 
• hold meetings with famous lawyers and politicians 
• preparing for participation in international and national competitions, moot courts, legal competitions, various conferences, etc. 
• organize scientific events, prepare for participation in them and present the results of our research 

Spheres of our activity: 

• International Public Law; 
• Law of the European Union; 
• International Human Rights Law; 
• International Legal Regulation of the Protection of Migrants' Rights. 

The work of the scientific club in 2021-2022: 

• Participation of members of the "International Law in Action" scientific club in the written and oral rounds of the 3rd National Moot Court Competition on EU Law. The team consisted of Kateryna Lyhopeka and Nikita Slimborskyi, students of the 3rd year of the "International Law" specialty. According to the results of the evaluation of the jury of the oral and written rounds, the STEU team won the III prize place among the teams of other universities in Ukraine. 

• Participation of a member of the "International Law in Action" scientific club, 4th-year student of STEU, Oleksandra Purdenko, in the competition for the best scientific paper on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Independence of Ukraine, in "International Law". The student won the third prize and a financial award from the Presidential Fund of L. Kuchma "Ukraine". 

• Participation in the First youth model of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly in Ukraine. According to the results of the selection, the organizers chose Kateryna Kornienko, a member of the "International Law in Action" scientific club, to participate. For two months, the STEU student listened to lectures from leading experts, visited the Kyiv City State Administration, and also represented the University as a delegate of the PA NATO. 

• A meeting was organized with the head of the Council of Europe project "Development of social human rights as a key factor of sustainable democracy in Ukraine" Suzanna Mnatsakanyan. Topic of the meeting: "Application of Council of Europe standards in Ukraine"; 

• A meeting was organized with Doctor of Law, senior researcher, professor of the Department of General Law Disciplines of the National Academy of the Security Service of Ukraine, A.M. Bladgornyi. Topic of the meeting: "International and Ukrainian dimension of legal regulation of migration processes"; 

• The UN Model was conducted, which is a synthesis of a scientific conference and a business game, during which students reproduced the work of UN bodies. Based on the results, the best delegates were elected to the committee of the Security Council and the Council of Europe.
