Research Center for Local Governance and State Regional Policy is an interdisciplinary scientific and analytical center that:

• conducts research on the issues of managing the development of territorial communities, evaluating the effectiveness of the work of local authorities, their application of measures for the regional policy implementation in decentralized environment;
• develops recommendations for reforming local self-government, increasing the efficiency of its work, ensuring its financial autonomy;
• provides consultations to local self-government bodies on issues of local economic development, strategic planning and project management, etc.;
• organizes educational and training events for officials of local self-government bodies, public activists, students, etc.;
• promotes international cooperation in the field of local self-government, exchange of experience between Ukrainian and foreign scholars, government and business representatives.

The Center provides young researchers and students of higher education with a unique interdisciplinary research environment that promotes quality research and the development of a scientific career.
