Scientific Club "Synergy of Industry Markets"

The Department of Economics and Competition Policy coordinates the work of the student scientific club "Synergy of Industry Markets". The main task of the club is to train modern professionals in the field of industry markets, able to freely navigate and be competitive in a dynamic market space.

The main directions of the scientific club:

  • focus on the modern needs of the market environment;
  • organization of practical training of students based on cases and situational exercises;
  • development of business and professional competencies of students;
  • formation of leadership skills and ability to navigate the market space;
  • scientific discussions on current topics of functioning and development of modern industry markets;
  • cooperation with partners using webinars, master classes, trainings and guest lectures from practitioners.

The priority research problems of the student scientific club are: determinants of development and principles of organization of consumer goods markets; mechanism of functioning of the electricity market; information technologies as a platform for the development of the telecommunications services market; organizational foundations of transport and forwarding activities; institutional and economic features of the market of educational and medical services; types and infrastructure of construction products markets; pricing in agricultural products markets.

The Department of Economics and Competition Policy manages the work of the student scientific club "Competition of the 21st Century". The priority task of the scientific club is to train competent professionals in the field of competitive relations and antitrust regulation who are capable of solving complex tasks in a changing market environment.

The main focus areas of the scientific club are:

  • current problems of a competitive market environment development;
  • improvement of practical training of students based on cases and situational exercises;
  • formation of business and professional competencies of students in the field of competitive relations;
  • development of leadership abilities and the ability to navigate in conditions of intense competitive confrontation;
  • scientific discussions on current topics of development of competitive relations and antitrust policy;
  • cooperation with partners using webinars, master classes, trainings and guest lectures from practitioners.

The main problems of the study of the student scientific club are theoretical, methodological and institutional principles of competition, organizational and legal support of competition policy, mechanisms for identifying, stopping and preventing anti-competitive concerted actions, responsibility for abuse of monopolistic position, countering unfair practices in entrepreneurial activity, tools of state regulation of natural monopolies, sectoral features of development and protection of competition.

SUTE Business Incubator is a special organizational space that contributes to the transformation of the idea into business and stimulates creativity and innovation through training, consulting and support of potential entrepreneurs. Such support for young entrepreneurs contributes to faster growth, reduces risks and increases their chances of success, which accelerates the innovative development of the economy. In addition, the business incubator contributes to attracting investments and technological resources to business projects that are competitively selected within the framework of the annual All-Ukrainian competition "Business Springboard", helping to develop entrepreneurial spirit and culture and stimulating innovative changes in society.

Startup club of SUTE is part of the ecosystem of youth entrepreneurship at the university, a platform for testing students' ideas, their thinking mechanisms. The work of this community allows you to get advice from coordinators in the process of developing a business idea and preparing the project for a public presentation, as well as feedback from experienced specialists, representatives of well-known Ukrainian companies, business incubators.

The purpose of the student scientific club "Manager" is to attract students to conduct research activities, participate in scientific and business projects, scientific and practical events and competitions, provide conditions for creative growth in the process of learning and mastering the specialty for future professional activities and career growth.

The members of the club are not only students of the specialty "Management" of various SUTE courses, but also graduates, teachers of the Department of Management and stakeholders of various EP subject area 073 "Management".

The student club provides an opportunity to develop success skills, soft skills that are formed in the process of knowledge exchange, information and communication, as well as expanding the possibility of participants realizing their own potential, promoting personal development and developing leadership and communication qualities. The functioning of the student scientific club "Manager" is important for conducting joint scientific research with the participation of lecturers, students and business representatives, as well as for the development of student projects and support for their implementation. The acquired teamwork skills, presentation of research results and critical thinking will be useful in further learning and scientific activities.

Telegram channel "Club "HR-management" was created to spread up-to-date and useful information about HR events, trends in the labor market, recommendations for work and vacancies among students, PhD students and teachers.

The participants of the channel are not only HR-students of various SUTE courses, but also graduates, lecturers of the Department of Management, representatives of other departments and specialties who can find opportunities for professional improvement and mutual assistance on the channel, establishing direct contacts with potential employers and cooperation with them on a mutually beneficial basis.

The channel places information from various professional sources, including advertising information of the HR brand agency "UGEN", recruitment agencies on open vacancies and employment opportunities of students, educational platforms for holding thematic webinars and competitions, employers' proposals for students to undergo internships at domestic enterprises.


Project Management Studio

Project Management Studio was created in order to popularize project management as a sphere of professional activity, as well as promote a project-oriented approach to conduct economic activities.

Together with the Institute of Project Management “Ukraine Chapter”, students master modern project management methodologies, get acquainted with the best practices of project management and share interesting stories.

The activity of Project Management Studio is aimed primarily at the practical aspect of the work, which aims to give future managers an understanding of how the project is implemented, what are the main metrics of its success, the management of the project team and many other interesting things.

World Trade in the 21st Century

The student scientific club "Paradigm of International Management in the Modern World" is one of the scientific forms of activity of masters outside the educational process, which allows you to realize the creative qualities of students and develop the skills of search, research work of future specialists.

Among the main tasks of the scientific club are promoting the exchange of knowledge, practical experience and information in the field of international management, promoting the development of relations with business, professional and public circles of people who are interested in cooperation. Managers and specialists of companies working in the field of international business are invited to the meetings of the scientific club.

The areas of scientific research and discussions are the problems of modern paradigm of international management, namely: internationalization of management, the growth of interdependence in the world economy, the development of multinational corporations and international information systems, a combination of different types of management systems.

The main task of the Club's work is to participate in the preparation of a new wave of specialists who are able to freely navigate the modern foreign economic environment. Meetings of the scientific club are devoted to the preparation for scientific events, discussion of the problems of the realities of the subjects of foreign economic activity. Within the Scientific Club, students have an opportunity to expand professional skills in export activities. The work of the Club involves practitioners of leading domestic exporting companies of leading sectors of the economy. The course is designed for undergraduate and graduate students; employees of companies whose responsibilities are related to the organization of exports; entrepreneurs who start or plan export activities as a promising direction of business development.

The main research problems of the Student Club are: the managerial aspect of foreign economic activity of enterprises, the problems of organizing international operations in the context of the pandemic, full-scale war.

The main research problems of the student scientific circle are: the managerial aspect of foreign economic activity of enterprises, anti-crisis management decisions of foreign economic entities in martial law; prospects for the development of domestic exporters in the post-war period.

Meetings of participants of the scientific circle are devoted to preparation for scientific events, discussion of the problems of the realities of subjects of foreign economic activity.

The work of the circle provides a combination of forms of work in groups (conversations, debates, discussion of reports, etc.) with individual research.

There exists a constant discussion of the problems of FEA management of the enterprise and current changes in tariff-non-tariff, currency regulation in accordance with the specified subject of the meeting, publication of articles and abstracts of scientific conferences.

It is an association of creative and purposeful students who want to expand their knowledge, form skills of scientific and research work, as well as to propose changes in the cooperation of the world community that are able to respond to modern challenges faced by the world.


Club "I Am an Attorney"

The club "I Am an Attorney" is an initiative aimed at preparing young people to understand and protect their rights and interests. The purpose of the club is to familiarize participants with the basic principles of law, processes in court, the role of an attorney in the system of human rights, as well as the development of the skills of reasoned language and convincing speech. The members of the club participate in the reproduction of judicial situations, debates, training in the analysis of legislation, which helps them to better understand and protect their rights in real life. The club "I Am an Attorney" contributes to the formation of legal culture among young people and increase their legal literacy, which is an important step in building a fair and legal society.

The functioning is based on the principles of the most modern concept of Marketing 5.0. which means technology for humanity (Marketing 5.0: Technology for Humanity). Community activities are implemented in the context of the unity of scientific and applied marketing tools, which is the basis for the possibilities of forming a certain community of students in order to study the practical and scientific aspects of marketing. The functioning of STEM "Marketing 5.0" is important for the development of students' digital marketing competencies in the implementation of specific marketing solutions, incentives, motivations in order to increase demand and meet the needs of society regarding the use of digital technologies, products, services.

“Science and Research Club” has been successfully functioning for several years. Club members gain valuable knowledge and skills in writing the first scientific work such as abstracts, articles, etc. This practice is very important for the present, because they not only acquire practical skills in the field of science, but also practice a foreign language, which makes it easy to apply the acquired skills in their future scientific career, since during conferences, round tables, etc. our students successfully perform, presenting their work. The club is managed by experienced scientists of the department, so mastering, at first glance such a difficult and uninteresting research work, is successfully done by students. This is evidenced by numerous certificates of participants from various international, all-Ukrainian and university events.


Creative Advertising Association of Students (CAAS)

We keep our finger on the pulse of innovative trends of the trading business in Ukraine, study the foreign experience of functioning of the world's leading operators in the retail and wholesale market, pay attention to all the nuances of developing a successful startup and starting our own trade business, ensuring the effective development of a trade enterprise (supermarket, hypermarket, boutique, shopping and entertainment center, online store, marketplace, etc.), taking into account the organization of the trade and technological process, on the basis of psychology, marketing and logistics, communications in social networks Telegram, Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok.


Student Scientific Club "Customs Policy of EU and Ukraine"

The club's activities are aimed at studying the essence of electronic customs (e-Customs) in the EU and Ukraine, the appointment and functioning of new customs IT systems that will be developed and implemented in the EU and Ukraine within the framework of the EU customs reform and the implementation of the Multiannual strategic plan for EU electronic customs (MASP-C).

Participation in the activities of the club will allow young specialists to gain the necessary knowledge about the basic principles of customs reform and paperless customs environment, introduction of e-Customs, new customs IT systems, ensuring development and control over E-commerce, promoting the principles of free trade and competition, preventing the entry of dangerous and counterfeit products into the EU market, creating a safe customs environment, providing EU and Ukrainian citizens with high-quality and safe goods, etc.

The Student Scientific Club "CyberNet Shield: Instrumental and Applied Applications in Information Systems and Network Security" aims to study  tools and applications aimed at ensuring security in information systems and networks. Participants in the club conduct research aimed at developing and improving cybersecurity skills, including the study of modern methods of protection against cyber threats and analysis of practical scenarios for their use. Participants have the opportunity to work in the laboratory of the Cisco Network Academy, where they learn the principles of building and configuring Cisco network equipment. A cybersecurity laboratory is also available, where students gain practical skills in detecting and analyzing cyber threats, developing protection strategies and responding to real-time security incidents. In addition, participants analyze application scenarios for the use of various tools to protect information and develop strategies for interacting with information systems in order to increase the level of their security.

The ProgramGroup club provides students with the opportunity to not only practice theoretical knowledge in practice, but also to develop creativity and abilities, as well as their soft skills, such as English and teamwork, necessary for a successful career in software engineering.

The scientific club also promotes the ability to navigate market issues and business analytics tools, explore practical cases, offer unique ways to solve complex analytical problems. Participation in scientific events of the club enables students to realize their scientific ambitions, oratory and erudition, develop the ability to freely express their thoughts and scientific independence, increase internal organization and conscious attitude to learning, deepen and consolidate the knowledge gained in the learning process.

The purpose of the workshop platform is to gain the latest experience in deepening the understanding and formation of skills in the technology of initiation, creation, development and launch of startup ideas and business projects in the hotel and restaurant business, mastering pitching skills, gaining experience in teamwork through active research and independence of participants.

The tasks of the workshop platform are:

  • deepening and developing theoretical knowledge on the formation of a value chain in the hotel and restaurant business;
  • mastering modern business practices for the creation and promotion of a startup idea and the implementation of a business project in the entrepreneurial environment of the hotel and restaurant business;
  • acquiring skills in developing a business plan for starting a business, assessing the investment attractiveness of a startup idea and a business project;

The student scientific club "Scientific Club "CreaTour" unites students who are interested in in-depth study of the relevant problems of tourism development, creative industries, sports and recreation in the world and in Ukraine. Under the guidance of lecturers of the Department of Tourism and Recreation, the members prepare scientific publications, participate in competitions of scientific works and Olympiads in specialized areas, scientific conferences, performance of scientific and research works of the department. The main areas of research of the scientific club are determined by the economic problems of the development of tourism business, innovative methods of organizing excursion activities, management of cultural projects and startups of creative industries.

The club began its activities in the 2022 – 2023 on the basis of the Department of Design and Engineering of the Faculty of Restaurant, Hotel and Tourism Business. The main reason for the creation of the club was relevance, inspiration of the academic staff of the department and students of the "Land Management and Cadastre", subject area 193 "Geodesy and Land Management".

The first works with engineering devices and gadgets, conducting scientific studies of structural and mechanical properties of soils, design work on landscaping resulted in the first scientific works and participation in: IV International Scientific and Practical Conference "Formation of Sustainable Land Use: Problems and Prospects"(2023); "Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Business: Realities and Challenges" - International Student Scientific Conference (2022); "Hotel, Restaurant and Tourist Business: Realities and Prospects" - VII All-Ukrainian Student Scientific Conference (2023). Visited the International Construction and Interior Exhibition "KYIVBUILD UKRAINE" (2024).

The purpose of the scientific club: identification and involvement of gifted youth in scientific activities, in-depth study of the features of the field of study !Education”, acquisition of skills of research work and application of the acquired knowledge in practice, discussion of current problems of development of physical culture and sports, fitness and recreation, psychophysiological rehabilitation in conditions of uncertainty, expansion of the general and professional worldview.

Main tasks: assistance in the training of qualified personnel in physical culture and sports; organization of research work of students in the subject area 017 “Physical Gulture and Sport”; creation of conditions for the disclosure of the scientific and creative potential of future bachelors of physical culture and sports; involvement in participation in scientific conferences, seminars, forums, competitions and other research events; testing of the results of research work of students at international and all-Ukrainian scientific events and their publication in scientific journals.

The purpose of creating the Financial Literacy Studio is to provide students with the necessary knowledge and skills for successful financial management, which will contribute to their personal and professional development in the future and involve students and teachers of the Department of Banking in the implementation of the Financial Market Development Strategy until 2025 and the general concept for increasing financial literacy of the population, taking into account the Framework of Financial Competences of Children and Youth of Ukraine.

The main forms of the Studio's work provide for the participation of students in: scientific events (lectures, seminars, forums, etc.); NBU events, namely ShahraiGudbay, Global money Week, etc.; conducting role-playing games and projects that will allow students to implement their skills in a practical environment.
