On September 29, 2023, the VII International Scientific and Practical Conference "APPLIED INFORMATION SYSTEMS AND TECHNOLOGIES IN THE INFORMATION SOCIETY" was held at Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University. The Department of Computer Sciences and Information Systems is a co-organizer of this conference. The chief of the Department of Computer Sciences and Information Systems, Ph.D.-M.Sc., prof. Pursky O.I. made a report on the topic: "Recommender System of Site Information Content for Optimal Display in Search Engines". During the report, the problems of developing recommender systems for the information content of websites for optimal display in search engines were highlighted.
Students of the specialty 122 "Computer sciences" took part in the II stage of the All-Ukrainian creative competition of scientific works "Automation of control processes, instrument construction and computer-integrated technologies", which took place on the basis of the Central Ukrainian National Technical University on June 29, 2023 ( Kropyvnytskyi). According to the results of the competition, a student of group 4-9, Darya Denisivna Levkovich, received a diploma of the III degree in the field of "Information technologies in automation". The topic of the work is "Web design development of an online store using the Figma editor." The following students received diplomas of the participants of the competition: 1. From February 7 to May 7, 2023, teachers of the department Filimonova T.O., Tomashevska T.V., Bazurin V.M., Demidov P.G., Yurchenko Yu.Yu., Kozlov V.V. completed the PROF2IT program from Kharkiv IT Cluster and Grid Dynamics training courses "Python for Big Data and Data Science". In the course of training, teachers acquired modern knowledge and practical skills that will be useful for conducting classes in such educational disciplines as "Numerical programming methods", "Machine learning", "Artificial intelligence", "Computer data visualization systems", "Presentation and knowledge processing in intelligent systems", defended the graduation project and received the relevant certificates.
On June 1, 2023, students of the Department of Computer Sciences and Information Systems, specialties 122 "Computer Sciences" and 126 "Information Systems and Technologies" took part in the first round of the All-Ukrainian competition for student scientific works. Based on the assessment of the scientific works of the participants of the 1st round of the competition, the competition commission determined the best works of the following students: Danylo Bogdanovych Sokrut (FIT, group 3-12), Nikita Olegovich Ageev (FIT, group 2-6), Darya Denisivna Levkovich (FIT, group 4-9), Maria Volodymyrivna Pankeeva (FIT, group 4-9), and awarded them with winners' diplomas.
From May 2 to 15, 2023, teachers of the Department of Computer Sciences and Information Systems listened to a course of lectures by Scott Christianson, professor of the University of Missouri (USA) on the topic of using the artificial intelligence application "Chat GTP" and received certificates (Tomashevska T.V., Bazurin V.M., Kozlov V.V., Dyvak V.V., Purskyi O.I.) and also took part in the WORKSHOP on the topic "How to use AI" (practical use of artificial intelligence) by Michael Petsan (the founder of the Web3-university of professions of the future "Learn to Earn Global", the founder of the blockchain platform "Amsets") and received certificates (Yurchenko Yu.Yu., Kozlov V.V., Bazurin V.M., Pidgorna T.V.., Pursky O. .AND).
April 13, 2023p. the All-Ukrainian student scientific and practical conference "INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY AND CYBER SECURITY IN WARTIME CONDITIONS" was held at the Faculty of Information Systems. Oleksandr Kharchenko, Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology, made a welcome speech. As part of the conference, about 200 reports were presented in 17 thematically different sections. There were interesting reports and their active discussion. The participants of the conference expressed positive feedback about the organization and holding of this event, and also noted the importance of holding similar student conferences every year.
April 6, 2023 the Department of Computer Sciences and Information Systems held a student round table on the topic "The role of information technologies in the development of modern society". Lectures were given by the associate professor of the department H.T. Samoilenko, head of the department, prof. O.I. Pursky and assistant of the department Yu.Yu Yurchenko, head of the department of information and analytical work and medical statistics of LLC "MEDICAL CENTER "CONSILIUM MEDICAL".
On November 18, 2022, the 3rd All-Ukrainian scientific and methodical internet conference of students, post-graduate students and young scientists "Development of intellectual skills and creative abilities of pupils and students in the process of learning disciplines of the natural-mathematical cycle" was held at the Sumy State Pedagogical University named after A.S. Makarenko ITM*plus-2022 "Forum of young researchers". The work of the conference (section "Problems of computer science and methods of teaching informatics") was attended by students of the FIT-1-10 group of the "bachelor" educational level V. Kulinich, I. Protsenko, D. Okolot, O. Patsan, who spoke with reports. Theses were printed on the basis of the reports in the collection of conference materials.
