Guest lectures by Marcus Jobe, professor of the University of Miami

On September 4-5, 2024, the State University of Trade and Economics hosted guest lectures by Marcus Jobe, professor of the University of Miami (USA). Students of bachelor's English study programs "International Economy", "International Tourism", "Financial Business", and "Management of Foreign Economic Activity" attended the event.
During the lecture on "Aspects of personal financial management", Professor Jobe discussed the principles of decision-making in the process of managing one's own funds, and also gave advice on using a bank loan. At the next lecture, which was devoted to the topic "Improving quality", the lecturer talked about the history of the use of statistical methods in the management of production processes, about the importance of taking into account the variation of information in the process of making management decisions, and also highlighted organizational tools for improving quality.
At the end of the lectures, the students asked questions to Professor Jobe, thanked him for the interesting material and took collective photos.
