Thirteen teams from top Ukrainian universities competed in the national stage of the International Student Competition for Investment Research "CFA Institute Research Challenge," including a team from the English-language master's program  "International Economics" at the Department of World Economy of the State University of Trade and Economics. The team comprised Kot Vladyslava (team captain), Kushch Olha, and Savchuk Anhelina, with mentorship provided by Associate Professor Larysa Sarkisian.

Participants in the CFA Institute Research Challenge 2025 were tasked with researching the company Astarta-Kyiv and developing their solutions to the given assignment. The team completed this task effectively and compiled a comprehensive analytical report, which enabled them to advance to the finals of the competition (where they will vie for the opportunity to represent Ukraine at the Regional stage) and present their findings alongside other semi-finalists on February 21, 2025.
