Information Event of the National Contact Points for the Horizon Europe Framework Programme

General Information

On May 21, 2025, an information event was held at the State University of Trade and Economics (SUTE) by the National Contact Points (NCPs) of the Horizon Europe Framework Programme under the theme: “Horizon Europe Opportunities for Researchers.”

The event aimed to familiarize researchers and scholars of SUTE with opportunities to participate in the Horizon Europe Programme. Welcoming remarks were delivered by Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work and International Relations, Anzhelika Gerasymenko, who emphasized the importance of grant activity for the contemporary recovery of the national economy.

The event focused on an overview of the 2025 Horizon Europe calls, particularly within the following clusters:

  • Civil Security for Society
  • Digital, Industry and Space
  • Food, Bioeconomy, Natural Resources, Agriculture and Environment

Speakers included:

  • Karina Shakhbazyan, NCP for "European Research Council. Financial and Legal Issues," with a presentation titled “Overview of the Horizon Europe Framework Programme Structure” .
  • Oleksandr Chemeris, NCP for "Civil Security for Society," who presented an “Overview of the 2025 Work Programme Calls for Cluster III.”
  • Vasyl Namoniuk, NCP for "Digital, Industry and Space," with a presentation on “Opportunities for Participation in Horizon Europe 2025 Calls in the Fields of Digital Technologies and Artificial Intelligence.”
  • Tetiana Fedoniuk, NCP for "Food, Bioeconomy, Natural Resources, Agriculture and Environment," with a presentation titled “Horizon Europe 2025–2027: New Opportunities for Sustainable Transformations in Agriculture and the Environment.”
  • Maryna Horokhovatska, NCP expert for "European Research Council. Financial and Legal Issues," with a presentation on “Skills for Partner Search and Consortium Building.”

Participants received valuable insights into the application process for Horizon Europe calls, strategies for proposal development, partner search portals, and more—providing a strong impetus for productive grant activity.

Guests of SUTE also enjoyed a guided tour of the university campus.
