Practical Implementation of the Inter-Institutional Agreement on Internstional Mobility Between SUTE and the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava (STU)
General Information
Andrii Roskladka, Head of the Department of Digital Economy and System Analysis, participated in the academic mobility program Staff Mobility for Training within the framework of the inter-institutional agreement under the EU Erasmus+ program between the State University of Trade and Economics (SUTE) and the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava (STU), the leading technical higher education institution in Slovakia.
This agreement has already begun its implementation for students. In the spring semester of 2025, Polina Rumiantseva, a 4th-year student of the educational program “Information Technologies and Business Analytics (Data Science)”, and Anastasia Lukianova, a 1st-year master’s student of the educational program “Digital Economy”, studied at STU under the program of international academic mobility of students.
Andrii Rosklakda’s foreign business trip was held with the aim of exchanging experience between SUTE and STU in the field of educational, scientific and organizational activities.
During the visit, a meeting was held with the management of the Erasmus Office STU, during which detailed information about SUTE was provided, promotional materials of our university were presented, and the prospects for academic mobility programs for teachers and students of SUTE and STU were discussed.
During the meeting with representatives of the STU Quality Assurance Council, the policy, structure and processes were presented, through which STU fulfills its mission and improves the quality of educational and other related activities. The internal quality system of STU was developed in accordance with the Standards of Internal Quality Assurance Systems in Higher Education, Standards of Study Programs and Standards of Habilitation and Inauguration Procedures of the Slovak Agency for Accreditation of Higher Education (Slovenská akreditačná agentúra pre vysoké školstvo).
Special attention during the visit was paid to studying the activities of the Faculty of Informatics and Information Technologies (FIIT) of STU. The faculty studies students in Slovak and English for teaching at three levels of higher education in the field of information technology: the bachelor's program in Computer Science, two master's programs in Information Security and Intelligent Software Systems, and the PhD program in Applied Informatics. Scientific and research activities at FIIT are focused on the development of integrated digital systems, cybersecurity, IoT, Blockchain and FinTech technologies, computer vision and computer graphics.
A positive experience was the study of the Policy on the Use of Artificial Intelligence at STU (Using artificial intelligence at the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava), adopted by the university in 2024. The main attention in this policy is paid to the ethics of using generative artificial intelligence (OpenAI, ChatGPT, Google, Gemini, DeepL, Grammarly) in the educational and scientific activities of STU teachers and students.
Prospects for scientific cooperation and joint publication activity were discussed with Slovak colleagues, the experience of organizing educational, scientific and project activities at STU was studied, and business and scientific contacts were established.
The stay at the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava provided an opportunity to deepen cooperation between higher education institutions and gain experience that will contribute to improving the quality assurance of the educational process at SUTE.
