Guest lecture on “The Situation on the Labor Market and the Nearest Future Trends”
General Information
A guest lecture on “The Situation on the Labor Market and the Nearest Future Trends” was held on June 2, 2025 at the initiative of the Department of Economics and Competition Policy within the framework of the scientific clubs “Synergy of Industrial Markets” and “Competition of the XXI Century”. The lecturer was Oleksandr Tsymbal, Head of the Department of Social Risks in the Field of Employment of the Institute of Demography and Problems of Quality of Life of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Doctor of Economics, Senior Researcher.
The lecturer drew the audience's attention to the problems of the Ukrainian labor market, which demonstrated a high level of stability in the context of martial law in 2022-2025. Mr. Oleksandr analyzed the age, sectoral and a number of other aspects of the functioning of the employment sector in Ukraine. The students received valuable information on the practical skills that a modern specialist should have in order to be competitive in a dynamic labor market, the role and place of higher education in successful career building, the formation of professional competencies when starting their own business project, taking into account and minimizing the risks associated with the dynamic development of the market environment, etc. The lecturer emphasized a model of behavior that focuses on continuous and flexible learning, hard work on oneself, the ability to communicate with people, and knowledge of foreign languages as important components of achieving success in a highly competitive environment.
