UKRAINIAN-POLISH PARTNERSHIP: SUTE EXPANDS INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION UNDER A GRANT PROJECT

Representatives of the State University of Trade and Economics became the winners of the grant project “Exchange of Experience and Ukraine's Path to the European Education Area” with the support of the Liderzy Przemian Foundation and the Lane Kirkland Scholarship Program. As part of this project, they took part in an international educational event held in the Republic of Poland.
From May 21 to 23, 2025, a delegation of SUTE consisting of the Dean of the Faculty of Technologies and Business, Doctor of Economics, Professor Nadiia VEDMID and Doctor of Economics, Professor of the Department of Hotel and Restaurant Management, Professor Maria KULYK paid a working visit to Maria Curie-Skłodowska State University (Lublin, Poland).
A key aspect of the scientific meeting was the discussion of topical issues of the development of dual education in Ukraine and the European Union.
In her speech, the Dean of the Faculty of Technologies and Business, Doctor of Economics, Prof. Nadiia VEDMID emphasized that the State University of Trade and Economics is one of the first higher education institutions in Ukraine to introduce a dual form of education in the Hotel and Restaurant Management program in partnership with an international stakeholder - the hotel operator Ramada Encore Kyiv.
During the visit, working meetings were also held with the leadership of the Faculty of Economics at Maria Curie-Skłodowska State University - Dr. hab. Iwona Mendryk, Dr hab. Mariusz Lisowski and Dr hab. Tomasz Kiek. The participants discussed the possibilities of developing joint educational programs, academic exchanges, conducting research and organizing joint scientific events. In addition, SUTE's delegation took part in the International Scientific and Practical Conference “National Security of the State: Risk Assessment Indicators” held at the university.
Successful grant obtainment and implementation, participation in international scientific events and intensification of academic cooperation with foreign partners are important components of the international development strategy of the State University of Trade and Economics aimed at integration into the European educational space, improving the quality of educational services and creating a competitive academic environment in Ukraine.
