Successful Defense of Qualification Works in the Walls of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine

State University of Trade and Economics and the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine are reliable partners in training highly qualified competitive specialists of the new generation. Active cooperation between the partners is realized in the educational process, joint research, organization of scientific and practical forums and a number of other areas. An important component of the partnership is the on-site defense of qualification papers by students of the Antitrust Management program at the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine. On June 17, 2025, the 4th year students of the 16th group of the Faculty of Economics, Management and Psychology defended their qualification works. Opening the work of the examination committee, its chairman, First Deputy Chairman of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine, State Commissioner, PhD in Economics Olha Muzychenko warmly congratulated the applicants for a bachelor's degree, pointing out that dozens of SUTE graduates who studied at the Antitrust Management program work in the AMCU throughout the country. Professor Anzhelika Gerasymenko, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and International Relations, Doctor of Economics, who is also a graduate of the Department of Economics and Competition Policy, also made a welcoming speech.
The Examination Committee noted the high theoretical and methodological level of the qualification papers, their practical orientation, and compliance with the most pressing requests of the national competition authority implementing the reform of the national legislation on economic competition protection in the context of Ukraine's European integration. The topics of the qualification papers included the issues of managing the vertical structure of a natural monopoly, competition in the healthcare market, forming a system for combating violations of legislation on the protection of economic competition, determining the directions of harmonization of antitrust and sectoral regulation in the energy sector, transforming the competitive environment under the influence of advertising strategy, monitoring compliance with competitive requirements in public procurement, competition in retail trade, world experience in implementing competition
