Career Prospects for FTB Students: Study Visit to Optima Hotels & Resorts
General Information
On the occasion of International Tourism Day on September 22, 24, and 30, 2025, first-year students from groups 6, 7, 13–16, and 19 (majoring in Management, Hotel and Restaurant Business and Catering, “Tourism and Recreation,” educational programs “Management of Tourism and Hotel and Restaurant Business,” “Hotel and Restaurant Business and Catering,” “International Tourism”) together with teachers of the Department of Hotel and Restaurant Business Management of SUTE, PhD in Economics, Associate Professor Tetiana Tkachuk, and PhD in Economics, Associate Professor Nataliia Zikii, made an educational and practical visit to the hotels of the largest national chain Optima Hotels & Resorts – Optima Collection Podil Plaza, Vita Park Borysfen, and Raziotel.
The core objective of the visit was to gain a thorough understanding of the operations of modern hotel complexes and assess their significance for the development of the tourism industry in Ukraine.
Students had the opportunity to:
- familiarize themselves with the organization of hotel departments;
- learn about guest service quality standards;
- examine models of personnel and service process management;
- discuss with experts who shared their own experience in the hospitality industry.
These meetings significantly broaden students' professional understanding while simultaneously fostering the practical skills that directly enhance their career readiness and market competitiveness.
