General Information
On November 24, 2025, the State University of Trade and Economics (SUTE) organized an international event, becoming a platform for introducing pickleball – a dynamic sport rapidly gaining global popularity. The event took place as part of the program of the esteemed guest, Professor Mark Siegel from San Diego State University (USA).
This event is a significant step in expanding SUTE's international relations and sports initiatives.
The program commenced with the central part of the event – a demonstration pickleball game. This game, which harmoniously combines elements of tennis, badminton, and table tennis, captured attention and sparked great interest. Participants had an excellent opportunity to visually familiarize themselves with its rules and dynamics.
Following the game, participants moved on to discussions, which included Professor Mark Siegel, representatives of the All-Ukrainian Pickleball Federation, and SUTE representatives. Specifically, the discussion involved the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and International Relations, A. Gerasymenko, Head of the International Relations Department, T. Kortukova, and Heads and Lecturers of the Departments of Physical Education and Psychology (V. Hamov, V. Aniukhin, S. Myronets), as well as the Director of the Center for Mental Health and Psychophysiological Expertise, I. Pustovalov.
