FFA Students Became Finalists of the Seventh Student Championship "Monetary Policy: NBU's Challenge to Universities"
General Information
On November 20, 2025, the National Bank of Ukraine summed up the results of the seventh student championship “Monetary Policy: NBU Challenge to Universities” (NBU University Challenge 2025). This is a competition between teams from different universities in Ukraine, which the National Bank has held annually since 2019. Our team was tasked with developing solutions to interest rates, exchange rates, and currency restrictions based on our own model and macroeconomic analysis. This was the quintessence of theoretical knowledge, scientific research, and practical experience.
This year, the NBU University Challenge brought together almost 100 participants from 20 universities. Only three teams made it to the finals, including representatives of the State University of Trade and Economics.
The SUTE team took 3rd place and was awarded a diploma of the 3rd degree. The team members are students of the Faculty of Finance and Accounting, 1st and 2nd year of the Master's degree, studying for the specialization "Banking Business Management" and "Financial Business Management": Nikita Syritsa (captain), Anna Kirichuk, Bohdan Osipchuk, Oleg Symonenko and Maria Borodavkina. Mentor – Serhiy Savluk, Doctor of Economics, Associate Professor of the Department of Banking. All students received an invitation for an internship at the National Bank of Ukraine.
The championship final took place in an offline format, where it was necessary to answer questions from the esteemed jury members – representatives of the NBU.
