The organizer of the meeting is the KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden.

At the beginning of the event, Nataliia Prytulska, First Vice-Rector of the State University of Trade and Economics, Professor, addressed the audience, who welcomed all participants of the international project and wished fruitful cooperation.

Associate Professor Olena Sevastyanova, the main project coordinator from the Swedish Institute, spoke about the tasks, work plan and expected results of BIOSORBWATECH for the full two-year period (01.11.2025 – 31.10.2027) and for the first half of the year. Mrs. Olena also represented the KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden.

Among the invited guests were: Professor Beata Podkościelna and Doctoral student Marta Goliszek-Chabros – Maria Curie-Sklodowska University, Lublin, Poland.

Associate Professor Aleksandrs Volperts – Latvian State Institute of Wood Chemistry, Riga, Latvia.

Five organizations are involved in the international project of the Swedish Institute from Ukraine:

• The State University of Trade and Economics was represented at this event by Iryna Goncharova, Associate Professor of the Department of Commodity Science and Pharmacy, coordinator of the BIOSORBWATECH project from SUTE and Ukraine.
• National Technical University of Ukraine «Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute» – Professor Vita Halysh.
• Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv – Associate Professor Nataliia Smyk.
• All-Ukrainian Public Organization «Ukrainian Society of Commodity Scientists and Technologists», Kyiv – Professor Taras Karavayev.
• «Clean Water Systems» LLC, Kyiv – General Director Yaroslav Barashovets.

The speakers spoke about their organizations, project participants, scientific interests and contribution to the international project. Further online meetings, international mobility to Sweden, Poland and Latvia are planned.
