A special highlight was the participation of students from the State University of Trade and Economics (DTEU) and THWS (Technical University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt), who worked in international teams, exchanging ideas and perspectives. Each team included representatives from SUTE and THWS, as well as students specializing in IT and international law, which enabled a comprehensive approach to solving the tasks.
Throughout the day, SUTE students Dmytro Kobernyk, Kateryna Mashurenko, Mariia Kovalenko, Polina Sushko, Syniavska Alina, Hlib Borovko, Andreieva Alina and Tatarchuk Valentyna worked together with THWS students on the following challenges:
1️⃣ Teach a machine to teach humans how to spot a
lie
2️⃣ Detect deepfakes of one specific person: Volodymyr
Zelensky
3️⃣ A Telegram bot that spots propaganda narratives in the
wild
4️⃣ Trace a fake story back to its first mention on the
open web
By the end of the day, teams delivered practical
solutions, including:
