It should be noted that President and the owner of this institution is world famous André J. Cointreau who for the last 20 years created more than 50 affiliated HEIs in many countries – from Japan to USA.

It’s became common during these 10 years that lead specialists of «Le Cordon Bleu» organize workshops for students and lecturers of the Faculty of Restaurant, Hotel and Tourism Business.

A.J. Cointreau visited KNUTE three times and enthusiastically perceived the idea to create together with Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics first and only in Central and Eastern Europe «Le Cordon Bleu» institution.

In the previous years this was not possible due to the existing law restrictions and only now new Law of Ukraine “On Higher Education” allows to renew negotiations on the matter and to shape it into more practical form.

This is why visit of Nicolas Terrieux – Recruitment and Development representative of «Le Cordon Bleu Paris» to KNUTE on 11^th November 2015 was not only important but desirable for both parties.
His meeting with Rector Anatolii Mazaraki concerned not only academic questions (types of study programs, their duration, etc.) but also organizational and juridical questions of the establishing a joint institution.
