Round-Table Discussion on Improving English-language Master’s Degree Programmes
General Information
A round-table discussion on “Problems and ways to improve the implementation of English-language Master’s Degree educational and professional training programmes” was held on January 20, 2016 in KNUTE in order to facilitate the further development and improvement of English-language Master’s programmes.
The following issues were discussed:
1. Increasing the level of the English language of teachers ensuring the education and professional training for English-language Master’s programmes students.
2. Problems of methodological and information support of the English-language Master’s programmes students.
3. Requirements for final qualifying research thesis of the English-language Master’s programmes students.
4. Providing necessary teaching and learning English resources and periodicals.
5. Using visual support and interactive teaching methods at practical classes.
6. Effective tools of interaction with small groups.
Among the participants there were teachers involved in the implementation of the English-language Master's Degree programmes from the Departments of International Economics, Economics and Business Finance, Tourism and Recreation, Commodity Science and Examination of Food Products, Management, Commercial Law, Hotel and Restaurant Business, Accounting, Banking, Marketing and Advertising, along with Valerii M. Sai, the Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work and International Relations, and Olha Holovachova, a senior officer of International Relations Department.
