Knowledge Exchange in the Digital Financial Services Field Workshop
General Information
November 11, 2016 the workshop on Knowledge Exchange in the Digital Financial Services Field was held in the KNUTE Congress Centre, which was arranged within the framework of the USAID project. Among the participants of the event there were representatives of the National Bank of Ukraine, leading mobile operators and payment systems.
The welcome speech was given by Nataliia Prytulska, the first Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work, She emphasized the importance of such cooperation and close partnership between scientific institutions and enterprises of public and private sectors of economy for meeting both the existing and potential challenges of the modern world.
During the workshop the following issues were discussed:
USAID Projects Aimed at Developing Digital Financial Services in Ukraine (Nataliia Berezhna, Project Manager (Finance/Pensions/Investment, USAID)).
Plans and Strategies for Developing Cashless Economy Project (Vladyslav Dykyi – the National Bank of Ukraine).
World Experience of Using Digital Financial Services (Malith Gunasekara – international councilor on digital financial services).
Tendencies of Payment Cards Development (Valerii Novikov – MasterCard).
The discussion panel was arranged during the workshop, so the participants had an opportunity to share opinions on the relevant issues.
Such multilateral meeting proved to be useful and fruitful.
