The participants were greeted by Nataliia Prytulska, the First Vice-Rector of KNUTE, who said: “English plays an outstanding role at our university. We have 8 English language Master’s programs and are going to have more. We regularly hold various events such as competitions, conferences, round tables, concerts in English. We are deeply interested in further development of the English language teaching at KNUTE and hope for close cooperation with the representative of Cambridge University Press”.

The University has signed the agreements with Cambridge University Press Publisher and Linguist, Ltd, according to which the University has made a commitment to using high quality learning materials designed to improve the learning of English in its language courses. In compliance with the agreement signed by KNUTE and Grade Education Center both sides agreed on arranging international examinations in the English language.

Cooperation with the Publisher will provide KNUTE with numerous benefits in the field of English language teaching: use of modern methods of language teaching, participation in the international program, regular trainings for University teachers, possibility to not only teach students using up-to-date and reliable materials, but also assess their progress and achievements objectively.

At the conference participants were provided with practical tips and ideas that can be applied to lessons. They had an opportunity to meet other teachers and browse through the latest teaching materials. Every participant received a conference pack with materials.
