In the opening speech Anatoliy Mazaraki, rector of KNUTE, greeted the audience, congratulated them on the poetry day and wished everyone to be successful in learning English, sustainable spiritual development and creative aspirations.

Within the event and with the aim of promoting English language learning, supporting students’ creative activity, and revealing poetic potential of the youth, the contest for the best translation of Byron’s poetry was arranged. 30 students took part in the contest and received diplomas. The winners received valuable presents from Cambridge University Press Publisher.

The concert impressed the audience with its lyricism, sophisticated dancing and singing, and sincere recital of G.Byron’s poetry in both English and Ukrainian languages.
