Le Cordon Bleu Is Our French Partner

General Information

At the invitation of the world famous Le Cordon Bleu Academy of Culinary Arts (Paris), A. Mazaraki, KNUTE Rector, and V Sai, KNUTE Vice Rector, have recently visited the new premises of the longtime partner of our university.

They met and took part in the negotiations with André Cointreau, Le Cordon Bleu President, Charles Cointreau, Vice President, and Kathryn Bache, Director of International Relations.

This institution is currently known to have established over fifty joint educational institutions in 24 countries all over the world (including USA, UK, Sweden, Japan, China, etc.).

Representatives of about forty nationalities study in Paris campus each year, and teachers are well known chefs not only from France but also from all over the world. It is not surprising that one of the most beautiful places in Paris was chosen to be the new campus of Le Cordon Bleu. It is situated in the Seine waterfront area, near the French version of the American Statue of Liberty and not far from the Eiffel Tower.

Introduction of new facilities, laboratories and workshops confirmed not only the existence of the latest technologies, equipment, training process methodology, but also humanistic and ecological orientation of the Academy administration and the whole team.

Isn’t it surprising to find quite a diverse vegetable garden, bee hives and a modern system of partial recycling of organic waste on the flat roof of the five-story building in the center of Paris? And these are not just some exotic facilities; they are used in the training process.

The negotiations between A. Cointreau and A. Mazaraki, became the main event of this visit. They were discussing the idea of establishing a joint training facility in Kyiv. It may become the first and the only project in Central and Eastern Europe.

A. Cointreau and A. Mazaraki thoroughly examined all the possibilities of establishing a joint institution between Le Cordon Bleu and KNUTE and reached the agreement. The next day after the negotiations Rector set necessary tasks to all the relevant departments of the University.
