During 2022, the department was carrying out scientific and research work on actual topics, which are aimed at researching theoretical and applied tasks of the development of trade, entrepreneurship and logistics activities of enterprises.

On April 20, 2022, the Round Table "Retail: Challenges of War" was held jointly with the Department of Economics and Finance, stakeholders and researchers.  The topics of the reports and discussions of the event covered a wide range of actual issues, including: losses of Ukrainian retail and changes in the topography of the industry during the war; retail in war conditions: offline and online formats, logistics infrastructure of retail; new reality; food security: if the war threatens a shortage of products in Ukraine; reputational risks of retailers in war conditions; main vectors of recovery and development in the post-war period. Representatives from various fields of logistics and trade, researchers and students took an active part in the event.

On April 15, 2021, the All-Ukrainian Interuniversity Round Table "Logistics of the Future: Effective Solutions for Trade" was organized with the participation of stakeholders and researchers from leading universities of Ukraine. The topics of the reports and discussions of the event covered a wide range of actual issues, including: the strategic role of logistics for the realization of Ukraine's ambitious economic goals in the conditions of the digital economy; the relationship between logistics and digital marketing in e-commerce; management of research projects in the field of logistics; the implementation of "green logistics" in Ukraine; optimization of the parameters of the logistics terminal of containerized cargo by agent simulation; digital transformation of retail trade; reliability management in global supply chains; manifestations of social responsibility of the logistics business in pandemic conditions; innovative approaches to the organization of logistics activities in Internet trade, as well as the application virtual reality and modern tools in the training of logistics specialists.

The academic staff of the department take over the experience of organizing the educational process and research activity in European countries of the world, namely: at Suchav University named after Stefan cel Mare (Romania), Michal Baludiansky Academic Society (Slovakia), University of Vienna (Austria), Technical University (Czech Republic, Ostrava), 2018, Higher School of Social and Economic Development in Przeworsk (Poland, Przeworsk) , 2018, Mendel University in Brno, Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, Technical University of Ostrava with the support of the Eastern European Center of the Fundamental Researchers (Czech Republic), 2020, University of Finance, Business and Entrepreneurship (Bulgaria), 2021 ., Wyższa Szkoła Biznesu National-Louis University (Nowy Sącz, Polska), 2021, etc. The academic staff of the department participates in the teaching of English program subjects.
