OUR TEACHERS ARE IMPLEMENTERS OF INTERNATIONAL ACADEMIC MOBILITY PROJECTS WITHIN EU's ERASMUS+ PROGRAMME

Natalia TESLENKO is a trainer for the Erasmus+ Jean Monnet project Creating an Inclusive University Climate (2023-2025). She holds a Ph.D. in philological sciences, is an associate professor, and serves as the deputy dean of the Faculty of International Trade and Law at the State University of Trade and Economics. Additionally, she is a member of the Working Group on the Development of the Gender Equality Plan at Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics for 2022-2024. Furthermore, she is an expert at the National Agency for Quality Assurance of Higher Education (Ukraine) and serves as an examiner for the National Commission for State Language Standards (Ukraine). Within the framework of the CreatIUC project, she is responsible for conducting a part of the course on creating an inclusive university climate, as well as organizing and conducting conferences and round tables.

Natalia TESLENKO is a trainer of the Erasmus+ Jean Monnet Module “EU Migration policy within hybrid threats” (2023-2025). The Jean Monnet project "EU Migration policy within hybrid threats" is aimed at researching the migration policy of the European Union, public dialogue and discussion, which will contribute to the deepening of knowledge about the processes of European integration in the field of migration among students, lawyers, civil servants, scientists and the public in general, which will contribute to the harmonization of the legislation of Ukraine and the European Union in the context of the European integration vector of Ukraine.

Natalia TESLENKO is a trainer of the Erasmus+ Jean Monnet Chair EU Economic Security (2023-2025). The project aims to identify the EU's ability to withstand global disasters, applying European values, gender equality, diversity and inclusion, aimed at deepening EU research and implementing the idea of empowering women and girls, stimulating positive changes in the Ukrainian educational space and society, introducing the best EU standards, methods and tools in ensuring the economic security of Ukraine.

                 


 OLENA KOROTUN, PhD in Education, Associate Professor, Associate Professor of the Department of Modern European Languages received a grant under the "Scientists at Risk" programme as the author of the courses "Ukraine through the Prism of Language" and "Modern Trends in the Ukrainian Language" at the University of Potsdam, Germany. During the academic years 2022-2023 and 2023-2024, Olena Korotun has been introducing foreign students to the basic principles of the course "Ukraine through the Prism of Language". The courses will provide a critical analysis of current events in Ukraine through the study of Ukrainian history, culture and the Ukrainian language.


VI ALL-UKRAINIAN STUDENT SCIENTIFIC AND PRACTICAL CONFERENCE

The Department of Modern European Languages of the Faculty of International Trade and Law together with the Department of Foreign Philology and Translation, Faculty of Trade and Marketing, State University of Trade and Economics held the VI All-Ukrainian Student Scientific and Practical Conference "The science of the XXI century: challenges of the contemporaneity" on May 11, 2023.

The conference was opened by the Vice Rector for Research, Pedagogical Activities and International Relations, Anzhelika Gerasymenko, who greeted the participants in English and stressed that the conference became a significant scientific event in university life. The Vice Rector emphasized that the State University of Trade and Economics conducts vast educational and international activities, involves students, master's and PhD students in the implementation of important projects, that’s why knowledge of foreign languages is a very important aspect of education.

The Dean of the Faculty of International Trade and Law Yuliia Honcharova remarked the importance of perfect command of English and other foreign languages in the modern world, wished the students inspiration and achievements in research activity.

The Head of the Department of Modern European Languages, Tetiana Harbuza, welcomed the participants and guests of the conference and stressed the importance of holding scientific events of such a high level. She noted that students' participation in the conference is the first step in their research activities, which can contribute to their future successful professional career. The Head of the Department wished all the participants of the conference inexhaustible energy and new scientific achievements in their future research activities.

 

          More than 220 students from 13 educational institutions of Ukraine took part in the conference, including State University of Trade and Economics, Kyiv National Taras Shevchenko University, National Technical University of Ukraine, “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”, Khmelnitsky National University, Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University, etc.

 A total of 226 papers in English, German and Polish were submitted for discussion at the conference. There were 6 discussion platforms at the conference: Economics, Finance and Audit; Information technologies; Philological sciences; International Trade and Law; Management, Marketing and Advertising; Psychology.
