The festival was opened on March 12, 2018, by Nataliia Prytulska, the First Vice-Rector for scientific and pedagogical work. She congratulated everyone on the holiday and stressed the importance of knowing consumer rights, understanding them and being able to defend them. Nataliia Prytulska told about the events that would take place within the framework of the festival and called everyone to join the All-Ukrainian Movement "Youth for the Rights of Consumers". Svitlana Melnychenko, Vice-Rector for science, Valerii Sai, Vice-Rector for scientific and pedagogical work and international relations, Viktor Osyka, Faculty of Trade and Marketing Dean, Tetiana Kanieva, Faculty of Finance and Banking Dean, university lecturers, students, postgraduate students and other guests attended the opening ceremony was.

The Department of International Private, Commercial and Civil Law organized the Quest “Consumer, Know Your Rights!”

The Department of Banking presented the project of the Financial Services Advisory Center. Its specialists will provide free information on financial services; will be able to offer solutions in the area of income and expenditure, savings and investments, and to tell about legal protection in case of consumer rights violation in this area. The Advisory Center will operate every day during the Consumer Festival.

In addition, the guests got acquainted with the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine legal project "I Have the Rights".
