Anatolii Mazaraki, KNUTE Rector, congratulated all those present and started the ceremony with his welcoming speech: «This day is called the mother language day all over the world. The day was declared to honor those who defended their right to their native language and lost their lives in Bangladesh demonstrations. This is the day for everyone to remember the mother tongue. Our students respect and appreciate their native language. This is confirmed by numerous victories at the Olympiads and P. Yatsyk Contest in Ukrainian Language. Today, we will witness how foreign students value their traditions and language. Dear Students, learn other languages but appreciate your mother tongue and be happy! "

Anatolii Mazaraki awarded the winners of various language and literary contests, conferences and olympiads.

The event was attended by honorary guests among whom there were Sylvan Rigole, Attaché of the University and Scientific Cooperation of the French Embassy in Ukraine, and Olha Khvorostianko, Director of Campus France in Ukraine, who awarded KNUTE students and graduates 10 Bachelor Degree Diplomas from the Grenoble Alpes University.

The linguistic diversity of KNUTE is increasing. At present, 200 foreign students are studying at the university. The number of countries represented by our foreign students is 22! 58 students from 3 countries are currently studying at the preparatory department of the university, where foreigners learn the Ukrainian language.

Foreign students and students of the preparatory department for foreign citizens and stateless persons from Uzbekistan, Côte d'Ivoire, Vietnam, the United States, Angola, Morocco, Ghana, Nigeria, Liberia, Azerbaijan, China proudly introduced their countries to all those present.

And finally all the participants of the concert presented Ukraine and our beautiful and melodic Ukrainian language.
