Victory of KNUTE Faculty of Restaurant, Hotel and Tourism Business students in the 11th International Culinary Competitions of Southern Greece, Thessaloniki, Greece
General Information
Students of the Faculty of Restaurant, Hotel and Tourism Business of the Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics took part in the 11th International Culinary Competitions of Southern Greece, (Thessaloniki, Greece), during March 1-4, 2019.
The organizers of the festival – the Association of Chefs of Northern Greece, gathered participants from 10 countries of the world, including Greece, Cyprus, Turkey, Bulgaria, the USA, Latvia, Taiwan, Ukraine, Serbia and Mongolia.
More than 20 professional jury members from all over the world, including the winners of the most prestigious world culinary competitions, evaluated the work of the participants. Mr Marko Bruşcheweiler,WACS Global Master Chief Judge, was the jury president. Dina Fedorova, professor of the Department of Technologies and Organization of Restaurant Business, secretary of the Ukrainian Culinary Union was the jury member from Ukraine.
Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics team was presents by Oleksandr Hrytsenko, Dmytro Sokur (FRHTB, 1 course, 2nd group) and Olha Chemodanova (FRHTB, 2nd course, 8th group). They took part in the contest together with other 16 teams from around the world in the category "Best Cooking School of the Year" and received bronze awards.
