This year, the event has been held to support the national program for the study and promotion of foreign languages in Ukraine. It determines learning foreign languages to be a priority in the EU and Ukraine's strategic documents.

Anatolii Mazaraki, KNUTE Rector, welcomed the participants of the conference and emphasized the importance of learning foreign languages for further integration of Ukraine into the world community. He added that KNUTE pays special attention to the study of foreign languages.

S. Andriianova, President of the Public Association "International Association of Teachers of English as a Foreign Language (IATEFL Ukraine)" sincerely thanked the partners and co-organizers of the conference:

- British Council, for support and opportunity to communicate with experienced language coaches, trainers and speakers from all over the world (the Great Britain, Austria, the United States, Belarus, Ukraine);

- KNUTE, for the organization and the ability to welcome a record number of participants. The conference was attended by about 500 experienced teachers. The President expressed her deep gratitude to the teachers of the Department of Foreign Philology and Translation, in particular, A. Latygina, department head, and L. Kolot, deputy head of the department, for active participation in holding the conference.

Jeremy Harmer, a writer, a speaker and MATESOL teacher (The New York School), became the honorable and distinguished guest at the 24th International Conference. He addressed the participants of the conference with a speech, held a workshop and presented his own musical program.

During the event, the conference participants actively worked in 58 workshops, interactive sessions and master classes.
