KNUTE Professor T. Karavaiev Has Been Elected to the Board of FATIPEC European Organization
General Information
An online meeting of the FATIPEC Board (Federation of Associations of Technicians for the Industry of Paints in European Countries) took place on September 1, 2020. FATIPEC is a European organization that brings together technicians and other professionals involved in the production of paints and coatings in the EU (http://www.fatipec.com). Every 2 years FATIPEC holds the European Technical Coatings Congress (ETCC).
At the meeting, Taras Karavaiev, Professor of the KNUTE Department of Commodity Science and Customs Affairs, was elected to the FATIPEC Board. He is a delegate from Ukraine, namely the Ukrainian Paint and Coatings Association AUVLP (UP&CA), the Technical Committee for Standardization TC 168 "Varnishes and Paints".
T.Karavaiev took part in the discussion of the FATIPEC Board agenda. He informed his foreign colleagues about the state of development of the paint and coatings industry in Ukraine, the formation of the paint and coatings goods market and related events held in Ukraine in 2019-2020. He emphasized the activities of TC 168 in developing and implementing Paints and Coatings standards which are identical to international and European ones.
He also provided information to FATIPEC Board members about Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics, which trains specialists in various fields, including entrepreneurship, trade and exchange.
Professor T. Karavaiev became one of the 24 members of the FATIPEC Board, which is an international recognition of his scientific achievements in the field of paints and coatings.
