On February 23, 2021, Etienne de Poncins, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France in Ukraine visited the Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics. He was accompanied by Alix de Gassart, Attaché for University and Scientific Cooperation, and Paul Souligoux, Attaché for Language Cooperation.
Mr. Ambassador made a speech to the French-speaking students and teachers of KNUTE on the development of French-Ukrainian cooperation.
For 20 years KNUTE has been successfully implementing double degree programs together with higher education institutions in France: the University of Clermont-Auvergne, the University of Grenoble Alpes, the Audencia Business School, the University of Paris Est Creteil and others. During the whole period of fruitful cooperation students of the university have received more than 100 Master's and more than 250 Bachelor's state diplomas of France, as well as Ukrainian diplomas.
During the visit Mr. Etienne de Poncins had a meaningful conversation with Mr. Anatolii Mazaraki, the Rector of KNUTE. Within this conversation they were exchanging views on further deepening of cooperation between universities.
The French delegation visited the university campus, SMART-library, computer classes, specialized laboratories, assembly hall and other components of the KNUTE material and technical base with great interest. After getting acquainted with the university and meaningful communication, the distinguished guests of KNUTE were convinced why French students from partner higher education institutions with pleasure choose our university for exchange semester to study on master's programs in a foreign language.
