Open lecture "Currency Policy in Times of War"
General Information
An open lecture on the topic of "Currency Policy in Times of War" was held on April 28, 2023, online, for students of the Finance and Accounting Faculty. The speaker was Oleksiy Lupin, PhD in Banking and Finance and director of the Open Market Operations Department at the National Bank of Ukraine.
The speaker highlighted the functioning of the currency market during war, the reasons for establishing a fixed exchange rate, the steps taken by the National Bank to stabilize the market at the beginning of military aggression, and the currency policy regarding the gradual lifting of currency restrictions and increasing the attractiveness of UAH instruments.
