The conference was opened by the Vice Rector for Research, Pedagogical Activities and International Relations, Anzhelika Gerasymenko, who greeted the participants in English and stressed that the conference became a significant scientific event in university life. The Vice Rector emphasized that the State University of Trade and Economics conducts vast educational and international activities, involves students, master's and PhD students in the implementation of important projects, that’s why knowledge of foreign languages is a very important aspect of education.

The Dean of the Faculty of International Trade and Law Yuliia Honcharova remarked the importance of perfect command of English and other foreign languages in the modern world, wished the students inspiration and achievements in research activity.

The Head of the Department of Modern European Languages, Tetiana Harbuza, welcomed the participants and guests of the conference and stressed the importance of holding scientific events of such a high level. She noted that students' participation in the conference is the first step in their research activities, which can contribute to their future successful professional career. The Head of the Department wished all the participants of the conference inexhaustible energy and new scientific achievements in their future research activities.

More than 220 students from 13 educational institutions of Ukraine took part in the conference, including State University of Trade and Economics, Kyiv National Taras Shevchenko University, National Technical University of Ukraine, “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”, Khmelnitsky National University, Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University, etc.

A total of 226 papers in English, German and Polish were submitted for discussion at the conference. There were 6 discussion platforms at the conference: Economics, Finance and Audit; Information technologies; Philological sciences; International Trade and Law; Management, Marketing and Advertising; Psychology.
