All-Ukrainian scientific and practical conference "Equality Union through the prism of women's empowerment"
General Information
On May 19, 2023, within the framework of the Erasmus+ Jean Monnet project "Empowering Women in Europe to Achieve the Equality Union" (grant agreement No. 101077151-EUFEUE), an All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference was held on the topic: "The Union of Equality through the Lens of Women's Empowerment". More than 100 participants of the event took part in heated discussions and had the opportunity to share their opinions on the most relevant topics.
In the context of the variety of topics discussed, the main ones include: maintaining gender balance in the university student government and among its employees, ways to most effectively inform the university community about gender equality and women's rights, legislative consolidation of women's reproductive rights and non-interference in them by society, and overcoming the "glass ceiling" by women in their careers. The main idea of the conference was that changes at the legislative level are not sufficient and the main task is to inform the society and create a culture of gender equality.
The conference participants were also familiarized with a brochure developed by SUTE gender equality focus group, which aims to combat discrimination, harassment, mobbing, bullying and violence.
