General Information
As part of the implementation of the Jean Monnet Erasmus+ projecton "EU GenderSecurity" (grant agreement 101078301-EUGENSEC), on May 18, 2023, the All-Ukrainian online conference "Gender Security in Europe: Methods and Tools to Counter Threats" was held. The conference was attended by more than 100 people - students and lecturers of the State University of Trade and Economics.
The main topics of the reports were gender equality in sports, education and politics. The participants discussed the experience of the European Union and individual EU member states on the way to establishing a gender equality policy, and the EU legislative framework that promotes gender balance in managerial positions. The conference participants also discussed ways to combat homophobia, transphobia, intolerance and promote a culture of tolerance in Ukrainian society.
The International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia is celebrated annually on May 17.
