The teaching staff consists of 13 people including 2 Doctors of Sciences (Economics), 8 PhD in Economics, 3 senior lecturers without academic degrees. The department has Postdoctoral and PhD studies.

The research work of the department is focused on the implementation of farm contracts and state budget research works. In particular, the department conducted research on the following topics: The development of the concept of management accounting in Ukrainian banks; the formation of an effective system of management of banks' activities; the system of internal control in banks of Ukraine; Management of the bank's personnel potential; Financial management of the leasing company; Cost management of financial and credit institutions; Methodology for assessing the value of financial and credit institutions; Bank competitiveness management; The development of the bank's competitiveness management methodology; Management of banking risks in the conditions of financial globalization; The formation of the bank's integrated risk management system in conditions of high market volatility; Effectiveness of monetary and financial intermediation; Regulation of financial services markets in the context of the global financial architecture.

Currently, the department is carrying out scientific research work on the topic: "Integration of the financial market of Ukraine into international financial space" (implementation period 1st quarter 2018 - 4th quarter 2023).
