SUTE representative participates in 13th International Staff Training Week in Nysa, Poland

General Information

On May 22-26, 13th International Staff Training Week for the academic and administration staff members was organized by University of Applied Sciences in Nysa, Poland. State University of Trade and Economics was represented by Dr. Olha Yusupova, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Trade and Marketing, Associate Professor at the Department of Trade and Advertising.

The event was held to discuss international events, get familiar with some tools supporting organisation of such events and exchange experiences from different perspectives.

The objective of the 13th International Staff Training Week (ISTW) were:

  • to share information and best practices on the cooperation within the Erasmus + Programme;
  • to encourage partner institutions, Erasmus+ students at the UAS in Nysa and Polish students to study at partner universities represented at the ISTW;
  • to meet people fromcommon area of expertise and to discuss the existing cooperation, share «best practices» as well as to share upcoming events information among the participants;
  • to strengthen the cooperation between staff and students in terms of future projects and programmes.

Within the framework of the training, SUTE was presented to the participants of the ISTW as a reliable and valuable ally for future partnership. The event gave the opportunity to contact with representatives of Bournemouth University (England), Universum International College (Kosovo), Public University "Kadri Zeka" (Kosovo), CETYS University (Mexico), Polytechnic of Coimbra (Portugal), California State University, Bakersfield (USA), Ukrainian Engineering Pedagogics Academy (Ukraine), Odessa National Economic University (Ukraine), Ternopil Ivan Puluj National TechnicalUniversity (Ukarine), Masaryk University Language Centre (Czech Republic).

In particular, the possibility of inviting Journalism students from Bournemouth University was considered for the purpose of sharing experience and covering the war in Ukraine in foreign media.Additionally, the students of SUTE were invited to join The One Book Project, a communitywide reading and discussion project inviting everyone to read and discuss the themes of civil rights, tolerance, diversity, acceptance, and courage.

SUTE is proud to be part of the European university community and grateful for the possibilities opened by Erasmus+ Programme.
