Implementation of international cooperation between SUTE representatives and the Academy of Professional Education "Merkur"

On September 20‒26, 2023, delegates from the Faculty of Restaurant, Hotel and Tourism Business of SUTE consisting of Dean Nadiia Vedmid (Dr. in Economics, Prof.), Head and academics of the Department of Hotel and Restaurant Business Margarita Boyko (Dr. in Economics, Prof.) Myroslava Bosovska (Dr. in Economics, Prof.), Oksana Poltavska (PhD in Economics, Associate Professor) took part in the International cross-border project "Days of UKRAINE‒2023 in Košice" and the Slovak-Ukrainian forum "SUF2023", Košice Kaluga, Slovak Republic, which are aimed at cooperation in the field of education, tourism development, economy and security of Ukraine and the Slovak Republic.
During the events, Nadiia Vedmid presented the educational and scientific brand of the University, introduced the attendees and colleagues to social projects, one of which is the project "We are strong - when we are together". Participating academics of the Department of Hotel and Restaurant Business of SUTE held personalized meetings with representatives of academic management and consultations regarding educational programs and the specifics of their teaching, as well as paid attention to the peculiarities of the educational process at SUTE.
In addition, as part of the agreement on cooperation and partnership with the Academy of Professional Education "Merkur", the training program "International strategic partnership of education, science and business of hospitality for the integration of Ukraine into the EU" was planned. Based on the results of the training, the participants were awarded with certificates of international internship for a total of 180 hours (6 ECTS credits).
The acquired experience will contribute to the development and improvement of the content of the educational programs of the Department of Hotel and Restaurant Business with the aim of their implementation on the market of educational services and the labor market of the EU.
