ROUND TABLE "HORECA: EDUCATIONAL TRACK". SYNERGY OF BUSINESS AND EDUCATION

General Information

On October 24, 2023, at the Faculty of Restaurant, Hotel and Tourism Business, on the initiative of the Department of Hotel and Restaurant Business, a scientific and practical event took place - a round table "HoReCa: educational track".

As part of the event, there was a creative, meaningful and constructive discussion of the content of the disciplines of the department's educational programs, the features of practical training with representatives of the professional environment, foreign and domestic institutions of higher education. Dean Nadiіa VEDMID presented a multi-format perspective of the faculty's educational programs, professor of the Department Myroslava BOSOVSKA focused on successful cases of cooperation between business professionals and the university, and stakeholders presented the main ideas and expressed potential areas of cooperation. In particular, the vision of the development of the educational trajectory of cooperation was presented by Peter VLAHOS, Dr., Associate Professor, International Tutor of the Department of Marketing, Events and Tourism of the School of Management and Marketing of the University of Greenwich (Great Britain); Andrii MAGALETSKY, Co-owner of the Restetika company, Olga NASONOVA, Director of the Analytical Center "Restaurants of Ukraine", Co-founder of NRA of Ukraine, Owner of NasoNova consulting, Consultant and expert in the Restaurant Business, presented the real directions of cooperation in the practical training of students. Iryna MAGALETSKA, Head of the Training Center Optima_Hotels&_Resorts; Svitlana YANCHENKO, Head of the Sales Department of Raddison Blu Podil Kyiv. Olga MISHCHENKO, Head of the Hotel Matrix project, shared the joint scientific experience of cooperation regarding analytical research of the hotel and restaurant services market. Extremely relevant information about student aspirations and requests for the educational process, the background of the synergy of education and business was presented by Andrii SIDLIARENKO, Academic Innovations Lead at Genesis.

Summarizing the results of the event, Margarita BOІKO, moderator of the meeting, Head of the Department of Hotel and Restaurant Business, emphasized the importance of the symbiosis of the actions of practitioners and teachers and the need to implement the provided proposals into the educational process for the formation of an individual educational trajectory and professional practical training of applicants.
