The final of the European Cup in tug-of-war took place in the city of Saldus (Latvia), in which about 170 athletes took part. The national team of Ukraine won the first place in the team standings. The national team of Ukraine includes 14 student-athletes of the State University of Trade and Economics.
According to the results of the competition, the places in the weight categories were distributed as follows:
2nd place – men (weight category 680 kg);
1st place – women (weight category 430 kg);
1st place – mix (weight category 430 kg);
1st place – up to 23 years old (weight category 600 kg).
