An English open lecture titled "International Sanctions Regime against Russia: Reporting and Enforcement" took place on April 30, 2024, with the valuable support of the Department of Financial Analysis and Audit at the Faculty of Finance and Accounting.
Dr. Nataliya Pylypchuk, an esteemed economist and auditor at LLC "Grant Thornton International" in London, served as the keynote speaker for the event. Dr. Pylypchuk provided a comprehensive overview of the various sanctions imposed on countries, particularly focusing on those directed at Russia. She elucidated the key regulatory frameworks governing global sanctions and highlighted the risks faced by auditing firms in cases of non-compliance. The lecture also delved into the intricate procedures involved in auditing sanctioned entities and individuals.
The audience comprised both undergraduate and graduate students pursuing degrees in Accounting and Taxation (specialty 071), along with the esteemed faculty members of the Department of Financial Analysis and Audit.
