All-Ukrainian Round Table "Analysis and Audit in Ensuring the Anti-Corruption Strategy of the State"
General Information
On December 9, 2024, to mark the International Anti-Corruption Day, the All-Ukrainian Round Table "Analysis and Audit in Ensuring the State's Anti-Corruption Strategy" was held, initiated and organized by the Department of Financial Analysis and Audit of the Faculty of Finance and Accounting together with the Department of Legal Support for Business Security of the Faculty of International Trade and Law and the Department of Commodity Studies and Customs of the Faculty of Trade and Marketing. The event was co-organized by stakeholders: the State Customs Service of Ukraine, Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), the audit company "Grant Thornton Ukraine", LLC "Sivena Group", a professional organization of auditors, accountants and teachers of the АKD.
The work of the round table was opened by the rector of SUTE, Doctor of Economics, Professor, Academician of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine Anatoliy Mazaraki.
The Dean of the Faculty of Finance and Accounting, Doctor of Economics, Professor Tetyana Kaneva, the Head of the Department of Financial Analysis and Audit, Doctor of Economics, Professor Karina Nazarova, a certified auditor, President of the NGO PO of Auditors, Accountants and Teachers of the Audit Chamber of Ukraine, a member of the Board of the Audit Chamber of Ukraine, Natalia Parfenyuk, the Chief State Inspector of the Department for the Prevention and Detection of Corruption of the State Customs Service of Ukraine Oleksandr Mudryi, the Manager for the Development of Business Relations of ACCA for Northern and Eastern Europe Victoria Volotovska, the Coordinator of AICPA-CIMA Educational Programs in South-Eastern Europe Maryna Zaitseva, a member of the Ukrainian Academy of Public Administration, Head of the Audit Practice of Grant Thornton Legis LLC Ostap Olendiy, addressed the conference participants with welcoming remarks.
Representatives of state control and audit bodies, audit companies, large and medium-sized businesses, and higher education institutions took part in the roundtable.
Participants of the All-Ukrainian Round Table discussed, in particular, the role of analysis and audit in identifying and preventing legal violations in business, combating corruption in foreign economic activity, the state's anti-corruption policy under martial law, combating corruption in the field of commercial procurement, the use of digital analysis during financial investigations, as well as the problem of legal qualification of official crimes with a corruption element.
Higher education students and scientific and pedagogical workers actively participated in the discussion of the round table issues.
